Who's Who

Executive Director
Sarah A. Thoma

Beverly has an extensive background in secretarial support from working in England for the BBC, to the State of New Jersey as a stenographer, and most recently at Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey.  Because of this, she has an understanding of non-profit organizations and seeks to utilize her skills at Interfaith Caregivers.

A faithful member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Beverly has worked with an intergeneration program, connecting teenagers with senior members of her church.  She has also taught Sunday School and tutored high school students.

“Having lived with and taken care of my mother, aunt and uncles, I truly understand the need for this ministry. It’s also important that caregivers be given some time to take care of themselves and get the support they need.  Interfaith Caregivers provides them with the respite they need.”

Coordinator of Volunteers

A new member of the ICT team, Jane Latini comes to us with a strong background in education. She holds a BA in Elementary Education from the College of New Jersey and a MA in Administration and Supervision from Georgian Court University. Jane served as Assistant Principal at St. Gregory the Great School for four years and teacher for 10 years. Under her direction and leadership, the school obtained its initial Middle States Accreditation. In addition, she guided local, regional, and diocesan committees from their inception to fruition. An active member of her church, Jane is a lector, lay Eucharist Minister, a catechist, and a facilitator of a small group faith sharing.

Jane has three children: Janeen, Joseph, and Joanna and four grandchildren: Joey, Mia, Sophia, and Angelina. Her husband, Joe, is a deacon at St. Gregory the Great Church, and Jane assists him in his ministry. “My journey of care giving for my beloved parents has heightened further my compassion, sensitivity, and appreciation for the elderly and disabled. ICT is a ministry of hope.

With the profound commitment and dedication of the Group Leaders and Volunteers hope abounds. Facilitating the match of the care receiver with a compassionate volunteer is exhilarating and life-giving work. It is truly a privilege and a blessing to be a part of the ICT family.”

Gabriela is a graduate of Rutgers College with a double-major in Spanish and English. Upon completing a graduate program at Rider University, she became a certified Spanish teacher, and has taught at the high school level in both the Hamilton Township and Princeton school districts.

Since 2001, Gabriela has worked for PEI Kids, a non-proft organization dedicated to promoting and maintaining a safe environment for all children. She presents workshops in both Spanish and English to adult groups who work with children.

In 2004 she helped found a school for adult non-native English speakers. Since then she has taught ESL (English as a Second Language), as well as served as Coordinator of Volunteers.

“I was raisied seeing my family volunteer in our community, and as an adult, I have always tried to do the same. So I feel right at home working with people who are so willing to give their time to people who need and appreciate it. I’ve been so fortunate with all of my work experiences, learning and growing personally and professionally. My experience with ICT so far has just been inspiring!”
