April, 2007 Mercer County Senior Citizens Art Contest - June 4th through June 14th, 2007.  Mercer County Library, Lawrence Branch, Darrah Lane, Lawrenceville.  Any artist age 60 or over currently residing in Mercer County may submit one entry.  For information and/or entry form, call the Mercer County Office on Aging 1-877-222-3737.  Applications must be postmarked by May 29th, 2007.

January Prescription Assistance - Most pharmaceutical companies have a patient assistance program whereby they ship free prescription drugs to your door or doctors office if you are uninsured or underinsured.  Most have an income limit of $16,000.00 to $18,000.00 for single households and $24,000.00 fir two or more.  Find the toll-free number of your drug's manufacturer (ask your pharmacist if you don't know) and ask to speak with patient assistance.  You will have to complete forms and submit them to your doctor, but most companies will be courteous and eager to help those who qualify.
